Website Renewal

FlightGear v0.9.10 for Mac OS X becomes 0.9.10-pre2, featuring a new thumbnail displaying launcher written in RubyCocoa. You can select cool aircrafts by seeing their thumbnails. Three major bugs in the last pre-release are fixed.
The package is available at the sourceforge download page
Note that this is a pre-release of the universal binary package, which means I need your help to find the Intel Mac specific problems. If you find any problems specific to this build, either write it to bug-tracking, or post a message to FlightGear-users mailing list.

We are very proud to release FlightGear 0.9.10 for Mac OS X. The new FlightGear OS X featuring Universal Binary gives the "comfortable" flight to every single Intel Mac user as well as PowerPC Mac users. Now it runs on Intel Macs up to 160% faster. FlightGear 0.9.10 for Mac OS X comes with the new launcher, so you can change options for your flight much more easier. The new launcher also makes it possible to fly with your wing mates. Enabling multi-player mode pops up a fancy on-line map so you can find your new wing mates. Thanks to the easy installer in the new launcher, you can add new aircraft and scenery data in a few second - no need to find the data folder any more.
Have a nice flight!

FlightGear Mac OS X 0.9.10 has become more powerful. It looks the same, but it isn’t actually. This airport-searchable, aircraft-carrier-ready launcher will give you much more fun while flying with FlightGear.
Using a new "Position" tab, you can search airports or carriers by name, location, country, and IATA code (like SFO, LAX, and HND if available). Flying from carrier doesn’t require any additional command-line options any more. Just select a carrier by searching it with "carrier" at the position tab, and you will be on the carrier.
Thanks to the new launcher, you don't have to re-launch FlightGear Mac OS X every time you want to select a different aircraft. The launcher is still there for you so you can select a different airport / aircraft and fly again.
The new launcher is more stable, and more feature-capable. See "ReadMe" inside the package for more detailed information. The updater for this new launcher is available at the Downloads page. Download FlightGear-0.9.10-r114-launcher.dmg and install it.
Have an exciting flight and happy holidays.

Three Japanese warbirds are available at the Aircraft page of this site. These aircraft are not Mac OS X specific so you can use these on any platform (as long as it runs FlightGear, of course) since these are not a part of FlightGear Mac OS X but a part of FlightGear itself.
Currently available Japanese warbirds are:
To download these, go visit the Aircraft page and click the file at the Download section of each aircraft. There are two different versions for each aircraft, 0.9.10 and cvs, so make sure what version you're using before downloading.
All the aircraft are under development so comments and suggestions are very welcome.
Have fun!

Sorry for inconvenience.

I'm working on updating Xcode project files for FlightGear 0.9.11-pre1. It has been successfully built and is being tested on both Intel and ppc Macs. I'll post the binary package of 0.9.11-pre1right after some test flights (and if there are less critical bugs). If you want to build it yourself, you can download the Xcode project files, patches, and build scripts from the svn repository.
svn co https://macflightgear.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/macflightgear/branches/0.9.11-pre1
If you encountered an error in downloading SimGear, please download SimGear-0.3.11-pre1 manually and put it into the root folder of the working copy.

After months of silence, Binary pakcages for 0.9.11-pre1 and CVS snapshot have become available from Downloads page. 0.9.11-pre1 has some new features such as Dynamic View, New Multi Player Protocol, and lots more. CVS snapshot package is the latest binary package from the CVS as of Oct-30-2007. These packages are for developers and advanced users. Read "IMPORTANT NOTICE sections" before downloading these packages. You can see ReadMe included in each package for more information.
This time, I should say "Have a challenging flight!"

I updated Mac OS to 10.5 (Leopard) and confirmed that FlightGear Mac OS X 0.9.10, 0.9.11-pre1, and even CVS/OSG are fully Leopard Compatible. You can enjoy FlightGear Mac OS X on Leopard as well as Tiger.
For those who already installed 0.9.10, make sure you have the latest GUI launcher. If you don't have it, download FlightGear-0.9.10-r114-launcher.dmg from Downloads page.
I test FlightGear Mac OS X only on Leopard updated from Tiger, so reports from the users who have clean-installed Leopard are very welcome!
